Containers
First what not to use!

Please keep in mind that we are not the foremost experts on Hydrogen gas.
We are just sharing our experience with you.

Glass Jars, tubes, GLASS ANYTHING:

DO NOT USE Glass anything!
There are so many cells being made and placed inside of a glass container.  This is not just a bad idea, it is dangerous and down right stupid!
Hydrogen will blow a glass container apart like its a grenade.  Keep this in mind, if it will break when you drop it, it will explode into pieces if you have a flashback.  And you will have a flashback sometime.

In short DO NOT use glass in your system anywhere for any reason and yes that includes the bubbler as well which is the first expansion chamber for a flashback.

Schedule 40 PVC Pipe (with a safety pop off)

SCH 40 PVC pipe is available at every hardware store around the world and just about anybody can assemble it.
We will cover in detail how to make Bubblers and Reservoirs for our style of Hydrogen cells.

Acrylic Tubing (with a safety pop off) 1/4" .250 wall (which is about the same thickness as SCH40 PVC)

With transparent Acrylic tubes you can make a pretty cool looking Reservoir.  Acrylic tubing comes in several shapes and colors.  Let your pocketbook define what kind of acrylic you use.
When using round (say 4 inch) Acrylic tubing you can use standard 4 inch SCH40 caps from your hardware store.
Please note that you CAN NOT use the same glue for Acrylic as you do with PVC pipe.  It will glue together but it makes the Acrylic brittle.  The glue just doesn't mix well.

What you use to mate PVC with Acrylic is standard epoxy made for plastics.  It works like a champ it will not make your acrylic brittle.

Stainless Steel:

If you have the money to spend on a stainless steel reservoir then that would probable last forever.
So feel free to spend your money any way you want. ;)

We mentioned safety pop off with the reservoirs soon you can click here to read about safety pop offs
