Emergency Shunt Braking the TLG-500 Wind Generator Please read carefully and use caution when applying the brake fuction. Below is a diagram that shows how to wire up an emergency brake switch to use with the TLG-500 wind generator system. Colors of the wires shown in the diagram are only for reference, actual color may vary depending on what color of wire you use. ;) The DPST switch can be a Toggle type, or a standard 120 volt House type switch as long as it is a DPST (Double Pole Single Throw) Make sure that you pay attention to the contact orientation/diagram of the switch you purchase, and be sure that only one lead from the side of the generator contact posts on the rectifier is connected to the post on the switch with the jumper on it. NOTE: Best usage
for this braking system is for those that are taking the unit up and down
for mobile applications, you have it setup remotely at a cabin and will not
be there for a while, or if you know a storm front is coming and want to
provide additional protection for the unit. Emergency Shunt Brake
